Formerly Detroit Rose, Studio D.R. is a women-owned and -operated small business located in Detroit, Michigan.

Our studio is where all the magic happens - it's where we dream up new fragrances, hand-pour our candles, and pack up your orders before sending them on their way to you. It's also a space for gathering, where we host events, workshops, and intimate community conversations. It's a special place of creativity, collaboration, and community, and we like to believe that a little bit of its energy is passed onto each of our products, and in turn, eventually onto you.

We're often asked how we come up with our scents. Often they are tied to specific places, people, or moments in time. Sometimes they are inspired by conversations or meals shared in good company. And every so often we "go Rousseau" and day dream of something we've never even experienced before. 

We know that scent is deeply personal, subjective, and nuanced. We also know that scent can untether us from our reality, connect us to other realms and usher us through the many portals of growth and expansion we're meant to have in this life.
